Victoria Names Squads For Under-19 Female National Championships

Cricket Victoria has confirmed the Victoria Metro and Victoria Country squads for the upcoming Under-19 Female National Championships, following an impressive pre-season program and strong performances in recent matches.

A key feature of Victoria's preparation has been the addition of several highly regarded Premier Cricket coaches to the program – Chris O'Brien (Ringwood), Jake Brown (Geelong), Chaminda Perera (Essendon Maribyrnong Park), Dayalan Sampath (Carlton) and Hayleigh Brennan (Melbourne). Their involvement has further enhanced player development and strengthened the link between Premier Cricket and the State Pathway system.

The squads were finalised following a competitive block of September practice matches at Endeavour Hills Cricket Club and a recent four-day multi-format series against South Australia at Monivae College in Hamilton, culminating in a fierce contest for selection.

Chris O'Brien will lead Victoria Metro as Head Coach, supported by Assistant Coach Hayleigh Brennan. Teagan Parker will take charge of Victoria Country, with Jake Brown as Assistant Coach. Having excelled in the pathway program, Chaminda Perera has been appointed Specialist Batting Coach across the broader program, reinforcing Cricket Victoria's commitment to developing both coaching and player pathways.

Victorian-contracted players Samara Dulvin (Metro) and Indigo Noble (Country) headline this year's squads, adding valuable state and national experience. Dulvin, who captained Australia in the recent Under-19 Series against Sri Lanka, is joined by teammates Ira Aery, Charli McLennan, Eva Baird and Jasmine Kamboj, while Limansa Thilakarathna also featured in the same series representing Sri Lanka.

Cricket Victoria acknowledges and thanks the many Community and Premier Cricket clubs whose ongoing support continues to strengthen the state's player development system.

With selection finalised, attention now turns to the National Championships and to the continued growth, enjoyment and performance of Victoria's emerging talent across the pathway.
