Victoria Unveils Squad for Sheffield Shield Round 3

Victoria has confirmed its 13-player squad for Round 3 of the 2025/26 Sheffield Shield season, with the team set to face Tasmania at the CitiPower Centre from Tuesday 28 October.

After a perfect start to the campaign with two wins from two matches, Victoria enters the contest with strong momentum and growing belief within the squad.

Victorian Men's Head Coach Chris Rogers said the group was thriving on its collective energy and pride in representing the state.

"There's a real belief within the group," Rogers said.

"The players have built a strong culture around effort and connection and they're really enjoying representing Victoria and playing for each other."

Fast bowler Scott Boland has been rested on the request of Cricket Australia, while Sam Elliott joins the squad following impressive performances in the Second XI and the recent Dean Jones Cup fixture.

Spinner Todd Murphy, who played a key role in Victoria's last match against New South Wales, will again be an important factor on a surface expected to continue to offer assistance for the bowlers.

"Murph bowled beautifully against NSW and really helped change the momentum for us picking up those three crucial top order wickets," Rogers said.

"He's tracking nicely and will once again play a big role for us against Tasmania."

Victoria will look to continue its unbeaten start as it chases a third consecutive win to open the season.
