V/Line Works At Seymour Station

Works on the pedestrian subway at Seymour Station will be undertaken by V/Line from late April to mid-May.

The works will involve strengthening and waterproofing the pedestrian subway beneath the rail line to improve its long-term condition and safety.

What to expect

  • The pedestrian subway at Seymour Station will be closed from 27 April to 11 May, with detours in place
  • Temporary fencing and signage will be installed to guide pedestrians safely around the closure
  • Some parking spaces on Station Street will be temporarily unavailable during the works
  • Intermittent traffic management will be in place on Station Street, including reduced speeds and occasional traffic holds
  • Reduced speeds and increased truck movements are expected on McIntyre Street and Eliza Street.
  • Works may occur outside standard hours to allow the project to be completed as efficiently as possible.

Council encourages pedestrians and drivers to follow all signage and traffic management directions while works are underway.
