Wakeboarder dies in Hawkesbury River incident

A man has died in a wakeboarding incident on the Hawkesbury River today.

About 3.30pm (Tuesday 28 January 2020), emergency services were called to a caravan park on Hall Street, Pitt Town, after reports a person had been injured while wakeboarding.

NSW Ambulance paramedics attended; however, attempts to resuscitate the 42-year-old man were unsuccessful and he died at the scene.

Officers from Hawkesbury Police Area Command attended and established a crime scene.

A report will be prepared for the information of the Coroner.
