Wanted Victorian man arrested by NSW Police

A man wanted on an interstate warrant for murder has been arrested by Robbery and Serious Crime Squad detectives.

Acting on information, officers from the State Crime Command’s Robbery and Serious Crime Squad, with assistance from the Tactical Operations Unit, attended a unit on Amalfi Drive at Wentworth Point just before 11pm yesterday (Wednesday 13 May 2020).

Following negotiations and a brief physical altercation, a 33-year-old man was arrested about 12.15am today (Thursday 14 May 2020).

The Victorian man was taken to Concord Hospital for treatment to minor injuries before being taken to Burwood Police Station where charges are expected to be laid.

Investigations are continuing.
