War medals stolen during Cranbourne North burglary

Casey Crime Investigation Unit detectives are investigating following a burglary at Cranbourne North last month, Victoria Police say.

It’s believed an unknown offender entered a Kellett Street home, while the victim was in hospital, sometime between 3 and 7 March.

Whilst in the house thieves stole six war medals that were awarded to the victim’s relatives who had served in the Australian Army.

The six medals are an African Star, Pacific Star, Star 39-45, Defence Medal, War Medal 39-45 and Australian Service Medal 29-45.

Investigators have released images of the medals in the hope that someone recognises them and they can be returned to their owner.

Anyone with information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers.
