There are plenty of reasons to Shop in our Shire this winter, including the chance to win one of three $300 gift cards to spend at a locally owned Nillumbik business of your choice.
We're proud to partner with Eltham Town, Diamond Creek Traders Association and Hurstbridge Village for the first time on our Shop in our Shire campaign. Our collaboration aims to encourage residents and visitors to support our locally owned Nillumbik businesses.
Nillumbik Mayor John Dumaresq said he was pleased Council and trader associations are working together to promote the 'shop local' message.
"When you shop in your own neighbourhood you keep dollars in the local community."
"It all helps to support local jobs, to boost community resilience, and build a more sustainable economy," he said, "keeping our townships lively and welcoming."
"It's more important than ever to support our local businesses whenever we can. Our local businesses know their customers. You'll be hard pushed to find better service and advice than from a local business."
Simply spend $20 or more at a locally owned Nillumbik business, scan the QR code at the register, and complete your entry. Shoppers can enter as many times as they like.
Entries close at 12pm on Friday 1 August. Winners will be notified and announced on Council's website.
