A man and woman will appear in court tomorrow after being arrested and charged with warrant and firearms offence in Dapto, NSW Police say.
About 2.30pm today, police acting on information attended a home in Lakelands Drive.
At the rear of the premises officers from Lake Illawarra Local Area Command located a 28-year-old man in a shed in the rear yard.
The man was arrested and police then located and secured a loaded revolver in the shed.
A 28-year-old woman was arrested at the premises also and both were conveyed to Lake Illawarra Police Station.
The firearm was seized for further forensic examination along with clothing and a motor vehicle located at the premises.
The man and woman were charged with several firearm and drug possession offences. The man was also charged with three outstanding warrants.
They were both refused bail and will appear at Wollongong Local Court on Thursday 2 February 2017.
Police are urging anyone with information in relation to this incident to call Crime Stoppers.
