Council advises that scheduled waste collection services will be interrupted this week due to adverse weather conditions resulting in flooding and road closures across Cessnock Local Government Area. Services will resume as soon as practicable following the re-opening of affected roads/bridges. Council asks residents to put their bins out on their normal bin day for collection when waste vehicles have safe access.
Council also advises that access at Cessnock Waste Management Centre is limited due to flooding and associated safety risks. The facility is still open but management is advising those wanting to attend the facility to contact Council's Customer Relations Team on (02) 4993 4100 to find out if you will be able to adequately dispose of your waste.
