We're seeking applications for Round 2 of our Community Grants Program

Mornington Peninsula Shire's Community Grant (Round 2) applications are now open and close 5pm Friday 20 March 2020.

Mornington Peninsula Shire Mayor Councillor Sam Hearn said, "through our Community Grants program, we support projects, programs and services that identify a community need and contributes to the building of stronger and more creative communities".

The Shire's Community Grants can be accessed for a wide variety of community projects in the categories of Creative, Placemaking and Support, offering financial support to non-profit community organisations and community groups.

The following are the types of grants community/non-for-profit groups can apply for:

Creative Community Grants: support projects that develop, explore and express our cultural heritage and initiate arts activities and programs with public outcomes.

Community Placemaking Grants: support community led initiatives to enhance public places and spaces, improve community facilities and create healthy and connected communities.

Community Support Grants: support the development of programs, projects and activities which assist promoting community health and wellbeing and increases opportunities for social connection.

Flexi Grants and Youth Grants opened on 1 July 2019 and are open until 30 June 2020 or until the funds are expended.

Flexi Grants provide an opportunity for community groups needing a small amount of funding to start a new project, purchase small equipment, train volunteers or host a small community activity.

Youth Grants provide support for individuals under 18 years of age who are competing nationally or internationally in a variety of fields.

The Shire is committed to working with our community to enhance connectivity to the Peninsula by strengthening the support of innovative and creative projects with positive and tangible community outcomes.
