Weapon, drugs seized, man charged in Dubbo

A man is due in court tomorrow charged after drugs and a weapon – believed to an electronic stun device – was found at Dubbo, NSW Police say.

Officers from Orana-Mid Western Police District were called to a motel on Cobra Street about 2.20pm (Sunday 22 April 2018), responding to reports of a domestic dispute.

After speaking with a 32-year-old man at the scene police searched a duffle bag and seized prohibited drugs, resealable bags, scales, syringes, an ice pipe and a weapon believed to be an electronic stun device.

The man was arrested and taken to Dubbo Police Station where he was charged with four offences:

• Possess a prohibited drug

• Possess or use a prohibited weapon without permit

• Two outstanding warrants.

The man, from Dubbo, was refused bail to appear before Dubbo Local Court tomorrow (Monday 23 April 2018).
