Safer driving conditions will soon be the results of rehabilitation works currently underway between Wide and Marsh Streets in West Kempsey.
Part of Council’s ten year works program, the upgrades include reconstructing the road pavement, installing new kerb and gutter and driveways and new stormwater pipes to reduce local flooding.
Parking will also be more defined with marked unrestricted parallel parking on both sides of the road and landscaping four centre medians.
Council’s Director Operations and Planning, Robert Fish, said the work follows on from the completed upgrades in West Kempsey between Marsh and Elbow Streets.
“Council began the upgrades in mid-July. Work is progressing well and is on track for completion by mid-November, weather permitting,” he said.
Mr Fish thanked nearby residents for their patience and understanding while the works have been taking place.
Please be aware that some disruption to traffic can be expected during construction but access to properties will be maintained for residents.
