What to do if your team has neglected to book a Melbourne Cup venue

Whilst almost every Australian, and every Australian business, stops at 3pm on the first Tuesday in November for the incomparable Melbourne Cup, there's always a few businesses who are likely to be a late scratching from the festivities, having left the task of organising a venue too late.

Luckily for those preoccupied managers and business owners, there's a solution that will make them an immediate front runner with their teams and clients.

CEO of Any Boat, Daniel Da Silva, says businesses shouldn't settle for the typical restaurant meal when they can enjoy lunch, drinks, and the race from the sparkling Sydney Harbour.

"If you haven't booked your work function yet for Melbourne Cup, it's not too late," Daniel Da Silva said.

"Whether you have a small team of four, or 1000, our team has more than 120 boats to choose from ready to go out on Melbourne Cup day with experienced operators that have hosted the likes of Richard Branson, Lady Gaga, and President George Bush.

"We have some perfect boats for Melbourne Cup festivities still available for next Tuesday.

"It's a little known reality that it's usually just as cost-effective to hire a boat as it is to pay for a team lunch at a nice restaurant. Plus you get the extra wow factor of being on the sparkling harbour, under the iconic bridge watching the race that stops the nation."

Rates start from $350 per hour and a BYO event on a catamaran can cost as little as $1400 for 20 guests. You can also opt for catered boats.

"We also have a number of Christmas and New Year's charter options available - it's cheaper than you think compared to a restaurant and a hundred times more memorable."

"Back a winner, book a boat," Daniel Da Silva said.
