Wondering what to do with your real Christmas tree now the festivities are over?
Help it be the gift that keeps on giving. Prepare it for collection using our fortnightly bundled branch (green waste) service so it can be turned it into compost and used to nurture green spaces across Knox.
Prepare your tree for collection
- Remove all decorations.
- If your tree is less than 1.5m tall, place it on your nature strip, ready for collection.
- If your tree is taller than 1.5m, cut it into sections no longer than 1.5m. Place them out on your nature strip for collection.
Collection days and times
- Your Christmas tree will be collected as part of our Bundled branch collection service. This service operates fortnightly, with collections being made on the same day as your household rubbish bin. To find out your next collection day, use our Find my bin days online tool .
- Place your tree out on your nature strip by 6am on your collection day.
If your tree is not collected, call our Customer Service team on 9298 8000 within a week of your collection day.
