What's on this Australia Day

Australia Day events will be going ahead on Wednesday 26 January in Tamworth, Manilla, Barraba, Manilla, and Bendemeer.

These events have all been planned in accordance with current public health orders, including mandatory QR code check-ins, mandatory face masks, and venue capacity limits for indoor events.

Tamworth Region Mayor Russell Webb said it is great that we are able to host these events in a COVID-safe manner."It is important that we come together as a community to celebrate the achievements of others."

Barraba

Australia Day Awards will start at 11am at the Barraba RSL Memorial Hall on Queen Street.

The ceremony will be followed by a community lunch at 12pm, which includes free entry to the Barraba Pool.

Manilla

Australia Day celebrations in Manilla will start at 8am at Pioneer Park. The Australia Day Awards will be presented first followed by a community breakfast, a competition for the best damper and Australia Day Themed Hat.

Tamworth
