Wilful damage charges at Toowong Cemetery, QLD

Police have charged two men after a war memorial was damaged at Toowong Cemetery yesterday (March 1), Queensland Police say.

Officers were called to the cemetery at around 4.00pm following reports a group of people had damaged a number of religious items.

A 61-year-old Mount Mee man and a 30-year-old Greenslopes man have been charged with one count each of wilful damage.

They are due to appear in the Brisbane Magistrates Court on March 16.
