After a wonderfully successful start, the Willoughby Symphony chamber series returns for its second concert, Shattered Restraint(s) on Sunday 19 May, 2pm in the plush and intimate surrounds of the Zenith Theatre.

Chamber Music Series Director, Daniel Dean, has put together a bewitching series of concerts taking audiences on a journey through musical history.

Opening with Ravel's luscious Introduction and Allegro for Harp Septet, the Willoughby Symphony are delighted to showcase rising star cellist Liam Meany, featuring works by Carl Vine and composer-in-residence Kate Moore.

The stunning concert will conclude with the powerful Shostakovich Chamber Symphony Op. 83a, conducted by former Willoughby Symphony Assistant Conductor Luke Spicer.

The 70-minute concert will be followed by light refreshments and the opportunity to meet the musicians - a delightful way to spend your Sunday afternoon!
