Wishing Wayne Bould all best

Sarah Courtney,Minister for Resources

The Tasmanian Mineral and Energy Council (TMEC) has today announced that Mr Wayne Bould has resigned from his position as CEO.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank Wayne for his contribution to the Council since 2008, and to the minerals industry and Tasmania over the past 40 years.

Wayne is a proud Tasmanian who has had a significant positive contribution to the growth and development of the mineral and manufacturing sectors in this State.

While acknowledging Wayne's contribution on his departure, we welcome the announcement that Ray Mostogl will be his replacement as CEO of TMEC.

I am delighted to continue a strong working relationship with Ray, who has achieved positive results in the development of the Bell Bay Manufacturing Zone and in his former role as Bell Bay Aluminium general manager.

The transition from Wayne to Ray as the CEO will provide a seamless transition for continued strong advocacy on behalf of these sectors that are key economic cornerstone industries of Tasmania.

On behalf of the Tasmanian Government, I wish Wayne all the best in retirement, and I look forward to continue engaging with Ray as he transitions into this important role.
