Witness appeal after Bayswater North crash

Police are appealing for witnesses following a crash in Bayswater North earlier today, Victoria Police say.

It is believed a northbound blue 2006 Holden Commodore was travelling along Bayswater Road when it went onto the wrong side of the road about 3.30pm.

The vehicle then struck the curb and became airborne before crashing into a concrete embankment and coming to rest on its side.

The driver, a 35-year-old Croydon woman, was taken to hospital with serious but non-life threatening leg injuries.

A 4-year-old girl, also an occupant of the vehicle, was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Another passenger, a 2-year-old girl, appeared uninjured but has been taken to hospital for observation.

Maroondah Highway Patrol officers are appealing for any witnesses to the crash, or anyone in the area who might have had dashcam vision of the incident, to come forward.

Anyone with information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers.
