Police are appealing for information after a truck and trailer overturned in Mount Macedon this afternoon, Victoria Police say.
The tipper truck and trailer, which was carrying an excavator, has overturned on a steep hill on Mount Macedon Road, near Cheniston Road, shortly after 2pm.
It has come to rest on its side in a vacant car park.
The male driver, aged in his 30s, was pinned inside the rig before being freed by emergency services and airlifted to hospital with serious injuries.
Police are keen to speak to anyone who witnessed the crash or who saw the truck travelling in the area prior to the incident.
