Police are appealing for information following an incident in Delacombe this afternoon where a police car was struck, Victoria Police say.
Highway Patrol members attempted to intercept a vehicle with stolen number plates on Latrobe Street shortly after 4.50pm.
However the male driver of the car took off erratically and struck the police vehicle and a civilian vehicle.
Police then pursued the aqua coloured Holden hatchback for a short distance.
No one was injured during the incident.
Police are investigating and are keen to speak to anyone with knowledge of the car and its driver.
Anyone who may have witnessed the incident or with further information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers.
