Witnesses sought after Northcote agg burg

Detectives from the Darebin Crime Investigation Unit are appealing for witnesses following an aggravated burglary at a property in Northcote on 28 August.

Police understand two men gained entry to the Gladstone Avenue property about 3.15am.

Police have been told the two men entered via the front door of the property and rummaged through belongings until they were disturbed by the residents.

An occupant of the house woke to the noise and then the offenders fled from the address.

Nothing was stolen during the incident and no one was injured.

The first man is perceived to be Mediterranean, aged in his 20s, 177cm tall with a solid build and an olive complexion.

The second man is perceived to be Middle Eastern, aged 30s - 40s, 173cm tall, a solid build and was wearing alight coloured jacket.

Investigators have released images of two men they believe will be able to assist them with their enquiries.
