Witnesses sought to glassing in Cabramatta

Police are appealing for witnesses as they investigate the alleged glassing of two men at Cabramatta overnight, NSW Police say.

Just before 10pm today, emergency services were called to a hotel on the Hume Highway, after reports of a brawl.

Officers from Cabramatta Local Area Command attended.

Police have been told security removed a man from the hotel, before he allegedly returned and began attacking other patrons, throwing glasses and bar stools.

The crowd dispersed when police and paramedics arrived at the scene.

NSW Ambulance Paramedics attended and treated a 22-year-old man with a laceration to his head after being glassed.

A 31-year-old man was also treated for multiple lacerations to his head after being glassed and struck with a bar stool.

Both men were taken to Liverpool Hospital where they are undergoing treatment; their injuries are not considered life-threatening.

Police are now appealing for anyone with information about the incident – or who could identify anyone involved to contact Cabramatta Police Station or Crime Stoppers.
