Wodonga Council is pleased to announce that Danny Muldeary, current Manager Projects and Assets at the council, has been appointed to the role of Director Infrastructure and Growth after a competitive external recruitment process.
Danny brings with him more than five years of experience at the council and has delivered some of its most significant recent projects, including the development of Hyphen - Wodonga Library Gallery and Baranduda Fields Sporting Complex.
Wodonga Council's CEO, Matt Hyde, is pleased to see Danny take this next step in his career.
"It is always rewarding to see our own people grow, and Danny's appointment to this role is a strong reflection of the leadership, commitment and achievements he has demonstrated throughout his time with us," said Matt.
Danny said he is incredibly honoured to step into the responsibilities of Director and looks forward to what lies ahead.
"I have loved working with this organisation, and it is a privilege to be appointed to this position. We have significant opportunities ahead of us, and I'm excited to work alongside our staff to guide the next stage of Wodonga's growth," he said.
Danny will formally commence as Director Infrastructure and Growth in March 2026, allowing for a smooth handover period with Leon Schultz as he transitions into retirement.
