Woman arrested after glassing boyfriend in Wollongong suburb

A woman will appear in court after she was charged in relation to an alleged domestic-related glassing incident at Bulli overnight, NSW police said.

About 9.35pm Wednesday, a 22-year-old woman and a 25-year-old man allegedly became involved in an argument at licensed premises on the Princes Highway.

Police will allege that during the argument, the woman threw a glass at the man which hit him on the left side of his face and caused a deep laceration under his eye.

The man was conveyed by NSW Ambulance Paramedics to Wollongong Hospital for treatment.

His injuries are not considered life-threatening.

Police from Wollongong Local Area Command attended the scene and arrested the woman a short time later.

She was taken to Wollongong Police Station where she was charged with reckless wounding.

The woman was granted conditional bail to appear before Port Kembla Local Court on Tuesday 19 November 2015.
