Woman arrested following pursuit - drugs and cash seized in Reservoir

Reservoir police arrested a woman and seized an amount of cash and drugs following a pursuit in Reservoir yesterday (23 November), Victoria Police say.

Officers observed the woman allegedly driving a car, an SUV that is believed to be stolen, travelling at high speeds and in an erratic nature on Charlton Crescent about 4.10am.

Police have then pursued the car for a short time when the SUV reportedly struck a footpath bollard on Main Road.

The bollard has subsequently hit a police vehicle as the offender continued to flee in the SUV.

Shortly after, the car allegedly struck a fence at a reserve area in Manor Green.

The woman has then fled on foot, however was arrested near the scene.

An amount of cash, drugs, tools and other items were found in the vehicle.

No members of the public or police were injured during the collision.

A 24-year-old female from Sugarloaf Creek is assisting Police with their enquires.

Police believe that there was a high volume of people in the area at the time of the incident and urge anyone with information, or that may have dashcam footage, to contact Crime Stoppers.
