Woman arrested for throwing rocks at cars, SA

A woman has been arrested for allegedly throwing rocks at vehicles at Alberton overnight, according to SA Police.

Police were called to Grand Junction Road, Alberton about 1.30am on Saturday 11 February by reports that rocks were being thrown at motorists.

One vehicle had sustained a smashed windscreen and a second driver had been struck in the chest by a rock thrown through an open car window. Fortunately, neither driver was injured.

Police searched the area and located a 43-year-old woman from Port Adelaide.

She was arrested and charged with throwing an object at a vehicle and has been bailed to appear in the Port Adelaide Magistrates Court on 27 March.
