A woman has been charged after allegedly paying a Corrective Services employee to introduce contraband into a correctional facility last year, NSW Police say.
In December 2017, investigators from the Corrective Services Investigation Unit identified the alleged introduction of contraband into a correctional facility at Cessnock.
A 29-year-old male employee was arrested and charged by investigators on Monday 18 December 2018. He remains before the court.
Following further inquiries, a 37-year-old woman was arrested at Windsor Police Station about 9.30am today (Wednesday 14 February 2018).
She was charged with corruptly give agent benefit.
Police will allege in court the woman paid a Correctives Services officer to supply a sandwich press to her partner, who is an inmate at the facility.
The woman was granted strict conditional bail and is due to appear at Windsor Local Court on Thursday 8 March 2018.
