A woman will face court today charged following an investigation into the production of child abuse material in the New England region, NSW Police say.

In April 2016, detectives from the Sex Crimes Squad’s Child Exploitation Internet Unit (CEIU) executed a search warrant at a home in Glen Innes, where they located and seized electronic storage devices allegedly containing child abuse material.

A 44 year-old man was arrested and charged with child sex offences at this time. He is currently before the courts.

Following further investigations, detectives executed another search warrant at the home about 9am yesterday.

A 47-year-old woman was arrested and taken to Glen Innes Police Station, where she was charged with two counts of carer allow child between 14 and 18 to be used for pornographic purposes and incite act of indecency.

She has been refused bail to appear at Armidale Local Court today.

Regular covert online investigations are conducted by the Child Exploitation Internet Unit and police in NSW work closely with their law-enforcement colleagues interstate and overseas.

Anyone with information about internet predators should call Crime Stoppers.
