A woman has been charged following an alleged hit and run crash in Sydney's south west overnight.
About 2.30am today (Saturday 28 June 2025), emergency services were called to Hoxton Road at Cartwright following reports of a crash.
Officers attached to Liverpool Police Area Command attended and found a 20-year-old man had sustained serious injuries after being struck by a vehicle, which did not stop at the scene.
The 20-year-old man was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics before he was taken to Liverpool Hospital in a critical condition.
Police established a crime scene and commenced inquiries into the circumstances surrounding the crash.
A short time later, a 35-year-old woman attended the scene on foot and spoke to police.
She was subjected to a breath test at the scene which returned an alleged positive reading.
The 35-year-old woman was then arrested and taken to Liverpool Police Station, where she underwent a secondary breath analysis that returned an alleged reading of 0.132.
She was charged with dangerous driving occasioning grievous bodily harm - drive under the influence, fail to stop and assist after vehicle impact causing grievous bodily harm, drive with middle range PCA, negligent driving (occasions grievous bodily harm), fail to stop and assist after impact cause injury, not give particulars to injured person and not comply P1 licence-no P plates (class C).
She was granted conditional bail to appear before Liverpool Local Court on Wednesday 9 July 2025.
Her licence was suspended.
