A woman will appear in court today charged following an alleged domestic related stabbing at a home in Sydney's west overnight.
Just before 10pm on Monday (8 September 2025), emergency services were called to a home on Elke Way, Toongabbie, following reports of a stabbing.
Officers attached to Blacktown Police Area Command attended and found a man suffering a stab wound to the chest.
The 42-year-old was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being taken to Westmead hospital where he remains in a serious condition.
Police have been told the injured man was allegedly stabbed by a woman, known to him, following a verbal altercation.
A 51-year-old woman was arrested at the home and taken to Blacktown Police Station where she was charged with reckless wounding (DV).
She was refused bail to appear at Blacktown Local Court today (Tuesday 9 September 2025).
