Woman Charged in Fatal Wagga Wagga Shooting

A second person has been charged after the fatal shooting of a man in the state's Riverina region earlier this week.

Just before 3am on Monday 9 June 2025, emergency services were called to Connorton Avenue, Ashmont, following reports a man had been shot during an altercation.

Officers attached to Riverina Police District and NSW Ambulance paramedics attended and located the injured 37-year-old man; however, he died at the scene.

A crime scene was established, which was examined by specialist forensic officers.

Detectives commenced an investigation under Strike Force Cerventes with assistance from State Crime Command's Homicide Squad.

Just after 9.30am yesterday (Thursday 12 June 2025), officers arrested a 35-year-old man at a home on Lady Loch Crescent, in Narrandera.

He was charged with murder and remains before the courts.

Following further enquiries, Strike Force Detectives attended Pinaroo Drive, Glenfield Park, today (Friday 13 June 2025) and arrested a 28 year old woman. She was taken to Wagga Wagga Police Station where she was charged with special aggravated break and enter accessory before the fact to an offence and driver not disclose identity of driver/passenger.

She was bail refused to appear before Parramatta Local Court tomorrow (Saturday 14 June 2025).
