Woman Charged in Homebush West DV-Related Stabbing

A woman will appear in court today charged following a domestic related stabbing in Sydney's west yesterday.

Just after 7pm (Wednesday 9 August 2023), emergency services were called to Kessell Avenue, Homebush West, after reports of a stabbing.

Officers attached to Auburn Police Area Command attended and located a man with injuries to the head and neck.

The 28-year-old man had reportedly been driving when he allegedly involved in an altercation with a woman – known to him.

He was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics and taken to Royal Prince Alfred Hospital where he remains in a stable condition.

A 30-year-old woman was arrested and taken to Auburn Police Station where she was charged with wound person intend to cause grievous bodily harm (DV).

She was refused bail to appear at Burwood Local Court today (Thursday 10 August 2023).
