A woman has been charged following an investigation into the alleged supply of prohibited drugs in Sydney's inner west.
In late March 2025, detectives attached to Burwood Police Area Command established Strike Force Padthaway to investigate the alleged ongoing supply of drugs, namely methylamphetamine, in the Ashfield area.
Just after 2pm on Wednesday (24 September 2025), strike force detectives – with assistance from South West Metropolitan Operations Support Group, Dog Unit and Australian Border Force – executed a search warrant at an establishment on Liverpool Road, Ashfield.
During the search, police found and seized several items including 586g of methylamphetamine and $34,980 cash.
Police arrested a 54-year-old woman at the scene. She was taken to Burwood Police Station.
She was charged with six offences, including three counts of supply prohibited drug more than small and less than or equal to indictable quantity, supply prohibited drugs on an ongoing basis, owner/occupier knowingly allow use as drug premises and supply prohibited drug less than or equal to small quantity.
She was refused bail to appear before Burwood Local Court on Thursday (25 September 2025), where she was granted conditional bail ahead of her next court appearance on Thursday 16 October 2025.
Investigations are ongoing.
