In June 2016, officers from Sydney City Local Area Command were contacted regarding a fraud allegedly committed by an employee of a Sydney based company.

Police were told that a woman allegedly defrauded the company of $1.3 million.

Officers from Sydney City Fraud Unit launched an investigation into the matter.

As a result of inquiries, about 8am today, a 26-year-old woman attended Day Street Police Station.

She was arrested and charged with 21 counts of fraud.

The woman was given strict conditional bail to appear before the Downing Centre Local Court on Wednesday 29 March 2017.
