Woman charged with armed robbery in Cowra

A woman will appear in court tomorrow after she was charged over an armed robbery at a jewellery store in Cowra last month, NSW Police say.

About 1pm on Thursday 25 August 2016 a woman attended a jewellery store in Kendal Street.

Police will allege that she entered the store and produced a knife, threatened staff and demanded cash and jewellery.

The woman fled from the premises with several items from the store.

No one was injured during the robbery.

Officers from Canobolas Local Area Command were notified and commenced an investigation.

Shortly after 2pm today, investigators arrested a 24-year-old woman and conveyed her to Orange Police Station.

She was later charged with robbery whilst armed with an offensive weapon, shoplifting and assault (x 4).

The woman was refused bail to appear at Orange Bail Court tomorrow.
