A woman will face court next month after police were alerted to a stabbing in Sydney’s inner west yesterday, NSW Police say.
Police were called to Royal Prince Alfred Hospital about 2.45am yesterday, after a 28-year-old man arrived at the emergency department seeking treatment for a stab wound.
After making inquiries, officers arrested a 33-year-old woman at the hospital; police will allege she returned a positive result when breath tested. She was breath tested because police allege she drove the man to hospital.
The woman was taken to Newtown Police Station where she underwent a breath analysis and returned an alleged reading of 0.200.
She was charged with driving with a high-range PCA, and has been granted bail to appear at Newtown Local Court on Thursday 4 May 2017.
Inquiries are on-going into the circumstances of how the man came to be injured; a number of items have been seized for forensic examination from a home in Addison Road, Marrickville.
Police have been told the man’s injuries are not considered life-threatening.
