Woman charged with drug supply and identity theft offences in Bronte

A woman has been charged with alleged drug supply and identity theft offences in Sydney’s east yesterday, NSW Police say.

About 3.45pm today, officers from Eastern Suburbs Local Area Command stopped a woman on Gardyne Street, Bronte.

The woman was in company with two small children at the time.

A subsequent search of the woman allegedly located methyl amphetamine (‘ice’), buprenorphine, cash, and several identity documents of other people in her possession.

A bottle of liquid containing what is suspected to be GHB (‘ecstasy’) was also allegedly located inside a vehicle the woman was travelling in.

All items have been secured for forensic analysis.

The 27-year-old woman was arrested and taken to Waverley Police Station where she was charged with supply indictable quantity of a prohibited drug, possess prohibited drug (x2) and possess identity information with intent to commit indictable offence (x4).

She was refused bail to appear before Waverley Local Court tomorrow.

Her two children have been released into the custody of Family and Community Services.
