Woman charged with drug supply offences in Barangaroo

A woman has been charged after police allege she was supplying cocaine at Barangaroo yesterday afternoon, NSW Police say.

About 4.40pm (Thursday 1 February 2018), police attached to the Redfern Region Enforcement Squad were patrolling the Barangaroo area, when they noticed suspicious activity near a parked car.

Police approached the car and spoke to a woman and conducted a search.

Police located and seized 39 small bags containing white powder, believed to be cocaine, and cash in various part of the vehicle.

The 26-year-old woman was arrested and taken to Day Street Police Station. She was issued with a field court attendance notice for supply prohibited drug greater than an indictable quantity, supply prohibited drug, knowingly deal with the proceeds of crime and custody of a knife.

She was granted conditional bail and is expected to appear in Downing Centre Local Court on 28 February 2018.
