Woman critical after being struck by motorcycle, NSW

A pedestrian is in a critical condition after being struck by a motorbike in Sydney's east.

About 6.35pm (Wednesday 26 December 2018), a woman was crossing Military Road, Dover Heights, when she was struck by a southbound motorcycle.

The woman received serious head injuries and has been taken to St Vincents Hospital, where she is in a critical condition.

The male motorcyclist has also been taken to St Vincents Hospital for injuries which are not life threatening.

He will be subject to a mandatory blood test at hospital.

The ages of the pedestrian and motorcyclist are not known at this stage.

Forensic police will examine the scene and officers from Eastern Suburbs Police District continue with inquiries into the incident.
