Woman critically injured after single vehicle crash, NSW

A woman has been critically injured after a single car crash in the Hawkesbury Region this afternoon, NSW Police say.

About 2pm, a Mazda utility with a trailer carrying livestock was travelling on Crooked Lane at North Richmond when it left the road and hit a power pole.

A female passenger in the utility sustained critical injuries

A 70-year-old man, who was driving the Mazda, was injured also injured during the crash. His injuries are not considered life threatening.

The pair were taken to Westmead Hospital.

Local diversions around the crash site are in place to allow inquiries to be carried out at the scene.

Police are urging anyone with information in relation to this incident to call Crime Stoppers.
