Woman dies after Bannockburn collision

A woman has died following a collision in Bannockburn earlier this month which had previously claimed the life of a man, Victoria Police say.

The collision occurred at the intersection of Clyde Hill Road and the Midland Highway at 4.30pm on Wednesday 12 April.

The 75-year-old woman was airlifted to a Melbourne hospital with critical injuries after the collision and died yesterday in hospital.

The Nissan sedan she was a passenger in was travelling south west on Clyde Hill Road when it collided with a 4x4 utility, towing a caravan, on the Midland Highway.

The driver of the sedan, a 79-year-old man, died at the scene.

The occupants of the utility, a man and a woman and a small child were conveyed to a Geelong hospital with minor injuries.
