A woman has died after being run over by a car south east of Dubbo yesterday, NSW Police say.
About 7.10am yesterday, two vehicles were stopped on the side of the road on Burrendong Way, Dripstone (about 63km south east of Dubbo).
The driver of one of the vehicles, a 45-year-old woman, was standing nearby when the second vehicle, which had been driven by a 25-year-old man, moved and hit her.
Emergency services were called and NSW Ambulance Paramedics assisted the woman; however, she died at the scene.
No one else was injured during the incident.
Officers from Orana Local Area Command attended and commenced an investigation.
The driver of the second vehicle was taken to hospital for mandatory testing.
A report will be prepared for the Coroner.
Police are urging anyone with information in relation to this incident to call Crime Stoppers.
