Woman dies after boat crash - Glossodia

A woman has died following a boat crash in Sydney's northwest.

Just after 9pm (Sunday 4 February 2024), emergency services were called to a boat ramp on Pitt Town Ferry Road, Glossodia, following reports a boat had crashed into the riverbank.

NSW Ambulance paramedics treated a woman – believed to be aged in her 30's; however, she died at the scene.

She is yet to be formally identified.

A 38-year-old man sustained minor injuries and was taken to Westmead Hospital for mandatory testing.

The vessel has been seized for examination and an investigation into the circumstance surrounding this incident has commenced.

A report will be prepared for the information of the Coroner.
