Woman Dies After Crash At Fairfield

A woman has died following a crash in Sydney's southwest last week.

About 5.45pm on Thursday 1 May 2025, emergency services were called to Fairfield Street, Fairfield, following reports a minibus crashed into a pole.

A passenger of the vehicle – an 80-year-old woman – was treated at the scene for facial injuries before she taken to Liverpool Hospital in a serious condition.

Three other passengers were treated for minor injuries and taken to Liverpool Hospital in a stable condition.

The driver – a 62-year-old mam – was not injured.

A crime scene was established, and officers attached to Fairfield City Police Area Command commenced an investigation into the circumstances into the incident.

Today (Wednesday 7 May 2025), police were notified the 80-year-old woman died in hospital.

A report will be prepared for the Coroner.
