Woman dies after crash near Albury, NSW

A woman has died following a crash in the Riverina region of NSW earlier this week, NSW Police say.

About 5.45am on Monday (2 July 2018), emergency services were called to Corowa Road, near the Federation Way, Daysdale, about 99kms north-west of Albury, after reports a car had rolled and caught alight.

The driver, a 34-year-old man, and his passenger, a 33-year-old woman, were treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics for multiple injuries.

The driver was airlifted to Melbourne Hospital in a stable condition.

The woman was airlifted to Canberra Hospital in a critical condition where she died about 9.30pm on Thursday 5 July 2018.

Officers from Murray River Police District established a crime scene and are investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash.

Police are urging anyone with information in relation to this incident to call Crime Stoppers.
