A woman has died after being struck by a car in the state's south.
About 12.40am today (Monday 16 March 2026), emergency services were called to the Princes Motorway, Darkes Forest, following reports of a crash.
Officers attached to Wollongong Police District attended and found a rider – a woman believed to be in her 50s – had crashed and ejected from a motorcycle.
She was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedic, however; died at the scene.
Se is yet to be formally identified.
A crime scene has been established and investigations commenced into the circumstances of the crash.
A report will be prepared for the information of the coroner.
North bound on the Princes Motorway is closed and motorists are advised to avoid the area.
