Woman dies after two-vehicle crash in Loftus

A woman has died in hospital following a crash in Sydney’s south, NSW Police say.

About 10am on Thursday 4 January 2018, police have been told a white Nissan X-Trail collided with a white Hyundai IMAX at the intersection of the Princes Highway and Rawson Avenue, Loftus.

The driver of the Hyundai, a 75-year-old woman, as well as two passengers from the Nissan, a 71-year-old woman and a 74-year-old woman, were taken to St George Hospital; all in a stable condition.

The 71-year-old woman was transferred to the Prince of Wales Hospital and died yesterday (Sunday 7 January 2018).

Police from Sutherland Local Area Command are investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash.
