Woman Dies After Unit Fire - Cremorne

A woman has died after being pulled from a unit fire in North Sydney this morning.

About 7.10am (Wednesday 18 June 2025), emergency services were called to a unit block on Allister Street, Cremorne, and found the top level of the unit block alight.

Fire and Rescue NSW removed a woman from the unit before NSW Ambulance paramedics treated her for critical injuries; however, she died at the scene.

The woman is yet to be formally identified; however, is believed to be aged in her 60s.

The fire was extinguished shortly after.

Officers attached to North Shore Police Area Command have established a crime scene and detectives have commenced an investigation into the incident.

A report will be prepared for the information of the Coroner.
