Woman dies and two injured in crash in Orange

A woman has died and two people are injured after a crash in Orange yesterday, NSW Police say.

Emergency services were called to the Mitchell Highway, about 20km east of Orange, just before 4.30pm today, following reports a Holden Astra and a Toyota Hilux collided.

The driver of the Holden, a 20-year-old woman, died at the scene.

The driver of the Toyota, a 32-year-old man, was treated at the scene by paramedics before being taken to Orange Health Service in a serious but stable condition.

His passenger, a 63-year-old man, was airlifted to Liverpool Hospital in a serious condition.


The road was closed for several hours as police examined the scene.

Officers attached to Canobolas Local Area Command have commenced inquiries into the circumstances surrounding the crash.
